Franklin Electric is committed to being a good corporate citizen, as well as a good neighbor to the communities we call home. The company contributes collectively to many non-profit organizations that are primarily located in communities where Franklin has a business presence.

Franklin gives to several charitable causes through the Franklin Foundation.

  • Through in-kind donations, Franklin helps underprivileged communities around the world gain access to clean drinking water.
  • Franklin gives monetarily to many non-profit organizations, including the United Way, the Boys & Girls Club, and Big Brothers/Big Sisters.
  • At any time, an employee may elect to have a portion of his/her check deducted as a tax-free donation to United Way, and Franklin matches 50% of the gift. In addition, Franklin employees are given opportunities throughout the year to make charitable contributions through special organized fundraisers such as a chili cook-off and a root beer float day.
  • A scholarship program was instituted in 1967 to aid qualified children of Franklin employees who are seeking a college education. The Edward J. Schaefer and T. W. Kehoe Franklin Electric Charitable and Educational Foundation Scholarship awards two scholarships annually to college-bound high school seniors who have demonstrated outstanding scholastic ability and strength of character.
