How to Navigate the AIM Manual

 1. Navigating The Table of Contents
 2. Navigating Individual AIM Manual Web Pages

Table of Contents Navigation. TOP OF PAGE
  The AIM Manual is divided into three sections: Application, Installation and Maintenance. On the table of contents, these sections are represented by three large blue tabs, see FIG. 1 below.

Each of these three sections is divided into subsections, see FIG. 2. These subsections are represented by small light blue tabs designated by the arrows. The first (green) arrow shows the subsection tab as it appears when it has been selected. The rest of the arrows (yellow) indicate how the subsection tabs appear when they have not been selected. To view a subsection click on one of the small tabs.

Once you have clicked on a subsection tab, you will see a page that looks similar to FIG. 3. To view an AIM Manual web page simply click on one of the titles listed under "Web Page".
You may also view and or save an Acrobat (pdf) version of each page. For information on what is required to VIEW a pdf file, click here. For information on how to SAVE a pdf file, click here. If you do not know what a pdf file is and would like to, you can find out here.

AIM Manual Page Navigation. TOP OF PAGE
In the upper and lower right corner of each AIM Manual page you will notice a small menu like the one that is highlighted in FIG 4.

In FIG. 5 you can see that the numbers 11 - 15 are highlighted. Pages are indexed in groups of five, 1-5, 6-10, 11-15, etc. This has no significance other than to make it easier to move through the AIM Manual. Again, page numbers here correspond to the page numbers in the 2000 print version.

FIG. 6 highlights the quick jump arrows to the left and right of the page numbers. These allow you to move through the site five pages at a time.

When you are looking at an AIM Manual page, there are various ways of moving around through the AIM Manual. First, you will notice that at the top of every page there is a location navigation bar that looks like FIG. 7. This is a representation of the location you are at within the web site. You can use this to move back through the site quickly. For example, here is a list of where the links in FIG. 7 would lead you.
A = Corporate Main Page.
B = Submersible Menu Page.
C = AIM Manual Table of Contents.
D = Application - All "tab" (see above) in AIM Manual Table of Contents.
E = This link represents the current page, in this case page 3.
